Celine Inspired Bag from BagsOnDemand

This is actually my second post for today..so I am quite on the roll here :)

From my previous post I already told about my bag addiction... well it didnt stop there:)

Anyway I got this bag yesterday from Bags On Demand by Joyzen Marie.  They were literally on sale and I was fortunate enough that they do meetups here in Laguna.  I actually had taken a few more bags from her but I will only feature the Bag that I had been eyeing from her online store.

I was actually on the look-out for black bag since my other bag is already showing wear and tears fro constant use and I wanna put it to rest :)

Anyway, my major requirements for a bag are:
1.  Material wont peel-off easily. No soft skin leather for me.  (check)
2.  Spacious enough to carry wallets, card holders, big makeup (kikay) kit, a notebook, a tablet, and have some more room for other stuffs. (check)
3.  Must be sturdy enough to carry all of the items mentioned above. (not quite sure)
4.  Can be transformed into a sling bag. (check)
5.  Must be either a shoulder bag or a sling/messenger bag. (check).

You see, I have a phobia with snatchers and pick-pocketers. I literally glue my bag to my body when I am walking on pavements on along the street which is the reason for requirement #5. I only use a handbag during a party or when I am assured of a personal transpo.

My only concern for this bag is that the connector for the sling is a bit thin so I am not literally sure if it can carry the weight of my stuff... but then again, I can always use the hand strap for support and I can always re-enforce it from this handy-man I know.

All in all, I like the bag and I think it is worth it for its sale price ;)

Hope to have an OTD of some sort for this bag...

Til my next loot..

My First Glamourbox Unboxing - Beauty SOS - September 2013

Last late afternoon Friday, September 27, we heard someone knocking at our gate a midst the rain. And who do we found... the delivery man holding a XEND package... I was very ecstatic. My daughter was too. I already have an idea what it might be... and voila!  My daughter and I started singing literally.. "I'm so excited...and I just can't hide it!.."

This is my first subscription from Glamourbox.  For the amount of P595.00 pesos, you get to receive 2 to 3 times the worth of your subscription.  However, you wouldn't know the contents beforehand.

For starters, the box was really sturdy and can be used for storage of other stuffs at home or as a gift box itself.  The packaging was great and I was really impressed with the September collection. Perhaps, because most of the products are what I need right now.  I would like to start of with the items I like the least :D..

OFRA Liptstick #202 (Full size)
Glamourbox is actually giving either #202 (red) or #205 (pink) for their subscribers.  I think they're reference was your personal profile in order to determine what they will include in your box.  In my case, since I have a warm skin tone (morena), they opted to choose the #202.  Among the 2, I would gamble on #202, because I can't imagine myself wearing a bold pink color on a daily basis ;)

Nonetheless, I am still neither a fan of pink nor red.  But I might find a way to use this, but not sure when.

KANEBO Impress Advanced CT Essence (2pcs of 0.4ml sachet samplers)
It says that it is an anti-aging serum that targets dryness, roughness and visible pores.  I definitely need this, however, the sampler consists of only 2 sachets good for 2 usage only.  I don't think it is enough to convince me to buy a full size product since I won't be seeing any good results with 2 usage only.

AVON Genics Gen Protect SPF15 Treatment 30ml (Full size)
It is again an anti-aging product which claims to show visible changes in 8weeks.  I might actually use this but I still have a line-up of skin care products to try to know, which suits me the best.  I was actually delighted that it came in full size.  However, being a day cream, I think the SPF could have been higher.

SAFORELLE  Gentle Cleansing Care 100ml (Full size)
I am actually not familiar with this brand, but it looks promising.  It was a good thing too since I just run out of femme wash.  It can also be used as a body wash for sensitive skin.

VMV HYPOALLERGENICS Id Monolaurin Gel 50ml (Sampler)
A face and body gel that treats acne & prevents over-sweating, leaving the skin cool and less prone to breakouts.  It also claims to be good for ingrown hair, "chicken skin" and other skin problems from waxing or shaving.
I was really excited about this since I actually had a mishap just a few weeks ago from using a waxing strip that had caused a major skin allergy which left a dark spot in my skin.. This would be a good time to use and test this :D

REJUVELASH Eyelash Growth Serum
I actually cannot say if this is a fullsize set or a sampler size, but I'm guessing it is a fullsize for a 5ml.  I saw a website that states free trial for 21 days.  There are still not enough reviews about this brand, but I am actually curious.  My friend bought an eyelash serum from a group-buying website for 250 pesos, and I was skeptical about it... and when it arrived, I was right. From the packaging itself, you can tell it was a fake but they tried it out anyway for 1 to 2 times and stopped since it literally stings.  I knew it was too good to be true for that amount...  but when I saw this, I literally was on hype.. I have to trust Glamourbox for this, for they would definitely be getting from good sponsors and I am really excited to brag this to my friend ( I am such a good friend... hehehe).
Will start on this tomorrow and make a review about it in 3 weeks...  I have medium length lashes but they are a bit sparse, so hopefully, something good will come out of it.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a Mustela. This was open to the first 150 subcribers.  I guess next time, I have to be a little bit more vigilant :D

Anyway, along with the products are 3 product coupons.

Summing it all up:
OFRA Liptstick #202 4g = Php650 (Full size)
KANEBO Impress Advanced CT Essence = Php240 - samplers / Php12000 for 40ml
AVON Genics Gen Protect SPF15 Treatment 30ml  = Php1299 (Full size)
SAFORELLE  Gentle Cleansing Care 100ml  = Php159.75 (Full size)
VMV HYPOALLERGENICS 50ml (Sampler) = Php355 - sampler / Php 710 for 100ml
REJUVELASH Eyelash Growth Serum = Php 2860

Total (without the coupons) = P5563.75
Total (without the Rejuvelash since I am not sure about the size) = P2703.75

With or without the Rejuvelash, it was still a steal :D  All of this for only Php595.00 shipping included.

I am actually anticipating the next box and so I am waiting for the announcement :)

Til my next Unboxing :)

My Recent SM Bag Hauls

Recently, I had been addicted to Bags.. I just noticed that I got 2 full loads of 75L Plastic Container Boxes holding just Bags.. (need to sort them out and see who goes and who stays..)

Anyway, due to this recent addiction, I just acquired another set of Bags from SM Department Store... (sorry, i only collect bags whose price tags are within my budget :b ). I was supposed to just load my Gcash and pay my bills that day, but I ended up buying a tablet which I am currently using right now and a few...ok... a lot of merchandise from the Department Store.

Brand : Belladonna
Style : 2 in 1 (shoulder/ pouch / messenger/ sling bag)
Regular Price: P999
Sale Prize: P599
Dimensions(in): 16 x 11 x 4 (bag) / 10 x 7 x 4 (pouch)

What I like about this bag is its versalibility. Its like having 2 bags. For some reason, I tend to carry a lot of items to work and I like the idea of being ready always, so I tend to bring everything. If I use a small bag, I tend to have another Eco bag or handbag. Another thing about this bag is that the larger bag has a zipper of its own, which means I could use it alone without worrying about my things being exposed to public and pick-pockets.

The smaller bag also comes with a spare handle so it can also stand on its own, although the design is more like a pouch.. If you want to use this only, better put some bag charms or accessories to liven it up a bit.

Brand : Kimbel (came with a big eco bag)
Style : Shoulder Bag
Regular Price: P899.00
Sale Prize: P550.00
Dimensions (in): 13 x 11 x 5

Again, its big enough to hold my stuff.. The design is simple (embossed weave design). What cought my attention is the coordinated ribbon bag charm.. hehehe... I use this most of the time especially on occassions when I'm feeling lazy to bring 2 separate bags. If you notice, I usually use this as a background for my samples especially products from SampleRoom (NOtice the ribbon). It goes well with SampleRoom's Paperbag.

Brand : Parisian
Style: Satchel (sling /hand/ messenger/ shoulder bag)
Regular Price: P399.00
Dimensions(in): 11 x 9 x 5

This is one of my favorite.. I was actually planning to buy items that are on Sale... however, when I saw this bag, I fell in love with it. I am not a huge fan of Pink Stuffs, but for this, I made an exemption... The material is very sturdy, my tablet could fit in it (one of my major requirements now :b). And it is just plain cute and simple and I like it. What made decide to buy this...the price. For only 399.00, I got to have a satchel type bag (without the handle) that is roomy and sturdy and is cheaper than those sold online..It was a steal...and it wasn't even on Sale!.
It was the cheapest among the Parisian Bags... I even questioned the saleslady if they made a mistake.

I was interested in pouches and I had too much to last me a lifetime...well I made an exemption on this one.

Brand : Grab
Style: Pouch (2 separate compartments with paddings)
Regular = P299
Sale = P199
Dimensions(in): 11 x 7.5 x 4

What I love about this one is the compartments and the paddings. It can fit my gadgets and my wallets as well. The padding is thick enough to protect your perishable items. Its even thicker than the ordinary sleeves for tablets and laptops and yet still roomy enough to contain your valuables. It doubles as my bag organizer now :)

That is it for now.. will post more when I am free :D

See you on my next post :)

Review : Megan Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips

Warning: This blog may contain pictures not to your liking :)

I was at the grocery, shopping when I saw this and remembered that it has been a while since I had my facial and one my facial problem is black and white heads.  Seriously...So when I saw this, I got it along with a hair removal cream for my legs.

I forgot how much it cost but will make an update as soon as I head backto do some shopping but if my memory serves me right,it is less than 200php.  A box contains 12 strips each separately contained in a foil pack.

Directions for use: (came with the box with a few revisions)

1. Wipe the nose clean with water and slightly wet nose ( I prefer to use luke warm water to open up the pores so the white and blackheads adhere to the strip when it dries).  Be sure that the nose is slightly wet becuase the nose strip will not adhere much and may not work effectively.

2. Tear of the nose strip sachet and peel off the nose strip from the plastic liner.

3. Place the shiny surface of the nose strip on the moistened nose, press and smooth out evenly.

4. Wait for 10-15 minutes, until the strip has dried.

5. Slowly peel the strip from the edges.  If the strips too strong and is painful to remove, wet the nose until the strip is easy to peel.

6. Wash off remaining residue with water.

Here is the result: this is the disgusting part...hehehe

It may not have removed all which is acceptable since I haven't tried anything perfect yet but it did removed a lot of my blackheads. See below (sorry for the visual).

It may hurt especially for first timers but it did say in the box that it might...and if it does, just moist the part where it sticks the most and pull slowly.

Rating: (1-5, 5 being the highest)
Effectivity = 4
Packaging = 5

So, will I buy it again?.. Yes, but I might reconsider other brands as well especially if it is highly recommended.

So till my next review :)

Easy Bun : An Easy and Quick Hairstyle

I bought these hair donuts from a japanese store for 88. Bought 2 sizes. I also got a clip-on bangs made of synthetic hair for the same prize.  My daughter has been wanting to have bangs but I declined since it wouldn't work out because of her natural curls in her hairline...so my solution was to buy a bangs extension.  I wanted to try it out first before I buy the human hair type so I opted for the synthetic instead, just to play it out for a while.

As usual, I have my daughter as my model :)...

To achieve this look, you would need the following:

Hair elastics
Hair donut bun
Bobby pins
Headband
Clipon bangs (optional if you already have natural bangs)

Step 1: Bring up you hair into a ponytail. Make sure that it is high enough.

She was a bit bored..thus the headset :)

Step 2: Insert the donut and spread out the hair.

Step 3: Gather the hair while turning it around creating a bun.

Step 4: Secure the bun with bobby pins.

Step 5: Clip the bangs near the base of the bun.

Step 6. Use a headband to accessorize.  You may also use clips or ribbons to accentuate.

This is really easy to do and you only need less than10 minutes to finish.

The hairstyle actually reminds me of Audrey Hepburn  or Cinderella ;)

The donut is so far the easiest hair accessory for making hair buns I had use.  It takes little effort and a few bobby pins:) There are a few being sold online.  Although you could make your own using a really thick sock and a velcro. Will give you a tutorial on that once I got a hold on the materials.

I am really liking the clip-on bangs.  I might consider purchasing the human hair type material :)

'Til next post :)

My First Loot from SampleRoom

I was really excited when I got my package from SampleRoom. What's even great about it is it's FREE!....yep, you read it right...it's absolutely free....but of course you have to pay for the freight cost for it to be delivered at your home.

It was a good thing I stumbled upon this site while I was blog hopping.  You get to sample products for free and if you are lucky enough, some of the sponsors are generous enough to give away full sized samples.

To know more...you can visit their site.  It is quite informative and the team is really accomodating.I was supposed to blog about the first transaction but I got caught up with work so I decided to sum up all my current transactions from Sampleroom.  All in all, as of this writing, I already have 3 successful transactions with...Hooray,!

And now, for my loot:

1st transaction:
Carbtrim (worth 288php) = 0
Zenutrients Oil ( worth 125php)= 0
Shipping = 130php
Savings (total worth - shipping) = 283php

2nd transaction:
Celeteque Firming  Night Cream (worth 899php) = 0
Oracare mouthwash (worth 57php) = 0
Zenutrients Soap (worth 50php) = 0
Shipping = 130php
Savings (total worth - shipping) = 876php

3rd transaction:
Celeteque Restorative Day Cream (worth 899php) = 0
Shiseido Ibuki Purifying Cleanser (worth php119)= 0
Shiseido Ibuki Eye Cream (worth php240) = 0
Shipping = 130php
Savings (total worth - shipping) = php1128

Not bad, don't you think?

The main purpose of the site is to allow the consumers to sample products first before you buy them at stores. This is an advantage if the product is a costly one and you are not sure if it will work for you.  The only catch is that you are only allowed 1 sample per product to give  fair chance for other consumers.I am actually excited to make a review about the Shiseido Ibuki Line so I might be getting the other samplers as well.
So all in all..I am really happy with SampleRoom and I will always be on the lookout for new products!

My First Unboxing. Pretty Fix Collection - September

Yehey! It finally arrived! My very first beauty box...

My first unboxing is from Pretty Fix Collection for the month of September. I was supposed to register for the August box, however, I didnt have the time to deposit the payment....guess what, It may be a blessing in disguise because I think this month is way better than the last.  This time, she gets to let the subscriber pick 3 samples in addition to this month's collection.  These samples were part of the previous collections.  So it was like getting sampled for the previous boxes as well....wasn't that great :)   Subcription starts at Php599 and you get double or triple the value of the subscription.

Now, for the unboxing:

The September Collection

The Additonal Freebies

Mascaras:
I had been a fan of mascaras eversince my friend got me hooked in using them. My eyes easily get irritated..but with the proper technique and the right product, it has been part of my everyday kikay kit.  I may not be able to use this yet..maybe after I finished the maybelline tube and I will tell you about it.

Mineral Foundation:
The color is in Tan, so I might be using this for contouring since I am in the morena category.  What I like about this item is that it already includes its own brush with a separate compartment. Less mess in your kit.

Fruity Lip Gloss:
My daughter was very much excited for this product. She loves lip balms and lip gloss.  She goes "Mommy, malapit na ma-expire lipgloss ko, mine nalang ito ha....please mommy.... Pag di mo gagamitin ha...."... To which I answered, "I'll think about it".  But of course, I couldn't resist her. Hope she doesn't read this. Lol!

Lipsticks:
Wet n Wild Shine Lip Lacquer Lipstick in Passion.
I am not of a pink colour user, but base from reviews, this one has good pigmentation. I only have one pink lipstick but has a tint of orange in it so I was able to use it. In case it gets too pink, I usually mellow it down with a nude or neutral color.  In case my other lipstick run out, I might be able to experiment wih this one.
Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Frost.
I think I prefer this color for my daily use.  Its kind of sheer so I might need to use a lipliner in nude to cover the darksides of my lips. ( I dont smoke, but I think it has to do with all the antibiotics I had when I was a child)

Goody Ouchless No Metal Elastics:
Isn't it a bit expensive for elastics?..well yeah. However Goody Products has been known for their quality and versatility.  Check out their facebook account and get to see updates about their products and if you're lucky, win in their occassional raffles. My daughter really wanted to go to the event hosted by Goody at MOA.  I am still hesitant since she has Saturday classes.  When she saw this, she was very happy.  As they say, you will always get what you paid for :)

For the summary of my loot: (prices are in approximation only, it may be higher in actual.  I got the lowest possible price for each)

Elf Lengthening and Defining Mascara Php 100
Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick  Php100
Wet n Wild Shine Lip Lacquer Lipstick Php280
Maybelline Fruity Jelly Lip Gloss Php99
Goody Ouchless Elastics 36pcs Php150
Wet n Wild Natural Wear Blend Mineral Foundation Php499
TheFaceShop Curling Mascara Php200
Wet n Wild Megalength Waterproof Mascara  Php280

Total Worth = ~1700php
Total Cost = ~700
 ( 599 subscription + 50 additional shipping cost + 50 interbanking fee)

Savings =~1000php ( not bad...not bad at all.. :D  )

Note:
Shipping is free for Metro Manila. Outside, you need to add 50. Also, if your bank is within their area, no additional banking fee for every deposit, so you will save more.

Payment terms:
As of now, they only accept bank deposit through BDO. Wish they could consider other payment methods as well for flexibility :)... Just a suggestion...

So that was my first unboxing experience courtesy of Pretty Fix Collection.  You can visit them at their facebook account.

Good day!

Revlon 3 Barrel Hair Waver

I asked someone who went abroad to buy me a deep waver.  One of my options were Bedhead and Revlon Jumbo waver. The bedhead wasn't available so he prompted for the revlon.  However, thinking the jumbo waver was too big, he opted for the regular 3 barrel.  Oh well, i just went for it since it was given as a gift. Who am I to argue.... hehehe.

REVLON 3 BARREL WAVE STYLER

Anyways, we tried out the much craved about "beach waves". My daughter is a fan of Kathryn Bernardo so I attempted her look for the new teleserye.

This is the result...

First, i sectioned the hair into 5 layers... the number of layers depends on how thick the hair strands are.

After sectioning the hair with the help of hair clippers which I bought at HBC, I had the revlon at high heat. Apparently, the other heat setting is not enough for my daughter's hair.

Get a few strands of hair... make sure that it is not too thick, so that the curls will stay in place. Working your way from the top, place the hair in between the barrels and press the lever for a few minutes, then release and start again where the curl from the first run end, then repeat the procedure til you arrived to the strands' end.

Once the first layer of the hair is finished, repeat the procedure for all layers.

by the way, do use a heat protectant product if you are fond of using hot irons or curlers.  For this particular hairstyle, don't forget to use creams, mousse or hairsprays to ensure that the curls will hold.

once the hair is set, just brush it with your hands to separate the curls. Style it whatever you wish...it doesn't matter :)

So, do i recommend it?... honestly, if you have very thick hair, I wouldn' t. It gets a bit stressful in the arms since I can only do thin strands at a time, or else it won' t curl as good as expected.  I had tried doing more strands at a time, thus having the irregulaf curls as shown on the inner layers in the pictures above.  Maybe it has something to do with the heat.  My sister bought a babybliss and they were easier to use and can curl in a few seconds.  I might make a review on that when I get to borrow it from her again.
If you want for the curls to stay longer, you would really need to use good hair products to enhance the curls or an extreme hold hair spray...or they will just look frizzy after a few hours.  I still have hopes for the revlon 3 barrel jumbo waver shown below.

So, for now I will be in a lookout for these two products. They are larger and can create deeper waves than what I used.  I saw them in sulit however, they are a bit expensive....  compared to what i have now. Be wary when buying online though.... they run on 110V.  Be sure to have a transformer or if you have an AVR for your computer, check if there is a 110V slot for that...it is what i use for now :)

BEDHEAD DEEP WAVER

REVLON 3 BARREL JUMBO WAVER

Have a good day !
